Cancellation Policy
1. Scheduling & Confirmation All sessions must be booked at least 48 hours in advance. Your booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation email from Beacon Mediation Services. Sessions are scheduled in 2-hour blocks unless otherwise agreed in writing. 2. Payment Policy Payment is due at the time of booking unless prior arrangements have been made. Accepted payment methods: credit card, debit card, ACH transfer, or attorney trust account payment. 3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made no less than 48 hours before your scheduled session to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations within 48 hours will result in a fee equal to 50% of the booked session rate. “No-shows” will be charged the full session rate. 4. Attendance & Representation All decision-makers must be present for the mediation (either in person or virtually). Attorneys representing parties must attend unless otherwise agreed upon. 5. Confidentiality All mediation sessions are confidential and conducted in compliance with Florida Statutes, Chapter 44 and the Florida Rules for Certified and Court-Appointed Mediators. No recording of the mediation session is permitted without written consent from all parties. 6. Late Arrivals Sessions will begin at the scheduled time. Late arrivals will not extend the scheduled end time and may impact the mediation’s effectiveness. 7. Virtual Mediation For online sessions, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure a stable internet connection, a private location, and familiarity with the videoconferencing platform. Beacon Mediation Services will provide the virtual meeting link upon confirmation. 8. Agreement Preparation If a full or partial agreement is reached, Beacon Mediation Services will prepare a written summary for signature during or immediately after the session. Any post-session drafting or review will be billed at the mediator’s hourly rate. 9. Governing Rules All mediations are conducted in accordance with the Florida Supreme Court Standards of Professional Conduct for Mediators.
